Who is Ryan Meikle?

Ryan Meikle is a professional darts player from Suffolk, born in 1996. He throws left-handed. He is a barber by trade, which is where his nickname comes from, and he has kept cutting hair alongside his darts career.

He won a PDC Tour Card at Q-School in 2016, aged 19, and has held one every year since. He played with Red Dragon for nearly ten years before joining Mission in July 2025.

How did Ryan Meikle break through?

He won six titles on the PDC Development Tour, the under-24 circuit, between 2017 and 2020. His best result in a major came at the 2019 Players Championship Finals, where he reached the last 16.

At the 2024 Players Championship Finals he beat sixth seed Gary Anderson 6-5 in a deciding leg. At the 2025 World Championship he beat Fallon Sherrock 3-2 in the first round before losing to Luke Littler in the second.

How has Ryan Meikle played in 2026?

He reached the third round of the World Championship for the first time at the 2026 event. In the second round he trailed Jonny Tata 2-0 in sets and won the last three to go through 3-2. He lost to Justin Hood in the third round. In November 2025 he also took a late place at the Players Championship Finals after Niko Springer withdrew through illness.

He was ranked 63rd on the PDC Order of Merit as at 18 October 2026.

What darts does Ryan Meikle use?

Meikle has been sponsored by Mission since July 2025 and plays Mission signature darts. His first Mission signature dart is a 90% tungsten, straight barrel with three sections of square grooving separated by smooth sections, a smooth bull nose at the front and blue and white rings at the rear. Mission supplies it with white tweenie Grip Lock shafts and his own signature flights, in 21g, 23g and 25g. The weight he throws in matches isn't confirmed, so it isn't listed here.
