Who is Ricardo Pietreczko?

Ricardo Pietreczko is a professional darts player born in Berlin in 1994. He throws right-handed and walks on to the Pokémon Theme by Jason Paige, a nod to his nickname, Pikachu. He played in the BDO and WDF before earning a two-year PDC Tour Card at Q School in January 2022.

How did Ricardo Pietreczko break through?

His breakthrough came at the 2023 German Darts Championship in Hildesheim, a PDC European Tour event. He beat Michael van Gerwen in the semi-finals with a ten-dart deciding leg, then beat Peter Wright 8-4 in the final. It was his first PDC ranking title, and he became only the second German player to win a European Tour event, after Max Hopp in 2018.

He reached the last 16 of the 2025 World Championship and the quarter-finals of the European Championship in both 2024 and 2025. At the 2025 World Cup of Darts he partnered Martin Schindler for Germany. The pair beat the England team of Luke Littler and Luke Humphries 8-4 and went on to reach the semi-finals.

How has Ricardo Pietreczko played in 2026?

At the 2026 World Championship he beat José de Sousa and Dave Chisnall before losing to Andreas Harrysson in the third round. His season since has been disrupted by problems with his throwing action. In May 2026 he withdrew from a Players Championship match after two legs.

In June he again partnered Schindler at the World Cup of Darts in Frankfurt. Germany reached the quarter-finals before losing 8-4 to the Netherlands. He was ranked 35th on the PDC Order of Merit as at 18 October 2026.

What darts does Ricardo Pietreczko use?

Pietreczko joined Precise 180, a German darts maker based in Weiden, in February 2026, after ending his partnership with his previous supplier at the start of the season. The brand has released a Ricardo Pietreczko Gen1 signature dart. Published figures for his match weight differ, so we haven't listed one here.

We don't currently stock Precise 180 darts. Our steel tip darts range covers a wide spread of weights and barrel shapes, and our dart flights and dart shafts let you fine-tune any setup.
