Who is Gabriel Clemens?
Gabriel Clemens is a professional darts player born in 1983 in Saarlouis, Saarland, who lives in nearby Saarwellingen. He throws right-handed. He worked as an industrial mechanic before turning full-time in 2018, the year he won a PDC Tour Card at European Q-School.
In his second PDC season he reached the final of the 2019 German Darts Masters, losing 8-6 to Peter Wright. At the 2021 World Championship he beat Wright, then the reigning champion, 4-3 in sets and became the first German to reach the last 16 at Alexandra Palace.
How did he break through?
His biggest run came at the 2023 World Championship. He beat world number one Gerwyn Price 5-1 in the quarter-finals to become the first German semi-finalist, then lost 6-2 to Michael Smith, who went on to win the title.
Later in 2023 he partnered Martin Schindler to the World Cup of Darts semi-finals, and he reached his first Players Championship Finals semi-final in Minehead, losing 11-6 to Michael van Gerwen.
How has Gabriel Clemens played in 2026?
At the 2026 World Championship he beat Alex Spellman and Wessel Nijman, both 3-0, before losing 4-2 to Luke Humphries in the third round. He averaged over 101 against Humphries, a record for a German player at the event. In February he hit a nine-dart finish against Madars Razma at Players Championship 2 in Hildesheim.
In July he won Players Championship 24 in Leicester, beating Luke Woodhouse 8-6 with a 170 checkout. It was his first PDC ranking title after a run of lost finals going back to 2018. He was ranked 48th on the PDC Order of Merit as at 18 October 2026.
What darts does Gabriel Clemens use?
Clemens joined Target in 2020 and extended the deal in 2023. He plays 23g Target signature darts. Target's current Clemens design is the G2: a 52mm, 90% tungsten barrel with radial grooves at the front and a dual radial grip zone at the rear, finished by hand sandblasting. Target supplies the steel tip set with 26mm Swiss Storm Nano points, short Pro Grip shafts and No. 6 flights, in 21g and 23g.
We don't currently stock Gabriel Clemens signature darts. Our Target darts and wider steel tip darts ranges cover a spread of weights and barrel shapes, and our Target Swiss points fit Target's point system.
